The brief
The goal was to completely renovate an older townhouse and create a fresh, welcoming interior for the long-term rental market. The challenge was to improve the property and give it a more desirable look, while keeping the renovation budget sensible for the owner and working within a mid-range finish level.

Meeting the brief
I reworked the layout to make the narrow townhouse feel more open and functional. By removing the wall between the kitchen and living area, I was able to create a brighter, more spacious ground floor and give the kitchen more worktop space. The interior was kept calm and neutral, with soft beige and earthy tones that would appeal to a wide range of tenants. Light wood finishes were used throughout to add warmth and make the space feel more comfortable and inviting. The overall result gave the property a much stronger rental appeal and helped position it at a higher level within the long-term rental market, while keeping the renovation spend controlled from an investor’s point of view.
