The brief
The idea was to design a cosy and modern two-bedroom apartment in Larnaca, offering a visually pleasant and calming retreat for its owners, who visit occasionally for weekends and holidays from abroad. With a modest budget and the prospect of short-term rentals in mind, the goal was to maximise value from every euro invested. The interior needed to balance comfort with a contemporary aesthetic, using a soft, neutral palette and tactile finishes to create a warm, inviting atmosphere. Durable, cost-effective materials were carefully selected to ensure both style and longevity, enhancing the lived-in experience while appealing to potential tenants. The design aimed to elevate the space to drive strong rental potential and secure long-term capital appreciation.

Meeting the brief
To meet the brief, the design concept embraced a calming, contemporary aesthetic that combined comfort with visual elegance. The chosen color palette featured light beige, light grey, bone, and black, creating a serene yet refined atmosphere. Custom-designed and imported furniture, with a focus on oval and round shapes, introduced softness and fluidity to the space while maintaining a modern edge. Thoughtfully selected, durable materials ensured style, comfort, and long-term value, essential for both personal use and short-term rentals. The layout was carefully planned to accommodate at least two couples on a regular basis, offering flexibility to adjust the capacity and function of the apartment depending on whether it was hosting friends of the owners or rental guests, ensuring both versatility and a sense of intimacy.
